Khari Worrell is a self-taught Black British artist who consistently challenges himself with work that merges emotion, imagination, and his deep love for creativity.
Driven by a desire to capture significant moments, Khari treats each piece like a story. He believes that for something to be overcome, it sometimes needs to be destroyed — and that to truly deconstruct something, it must have first existed in an emotionally unstable state.
Preferably working on a large scale, Khari feels more immersed and open with his feelings, treating the canvas as a form of therapy.
When asked about his process, Khari says:
“When the works are destroyed, this erases anxiety, allowing my energy to be transferred within the painting resulting in an abstract fashion.”
